KSrelief begins Ramadan food basket distribution to assist 192,500 people across 30 districts under Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2026.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority has started distribution of a Ramadan food basket across 30 districts to support 192,500 vulnerable people as part of the Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2026 Phase-5.

Each Ramadan food basket weighs 97 kilograms and is designed to sustain an average household for the month. The package includes 80 kilograms of wheat flour, 5 litres of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, 2 kilograms of dates and 5 kilograms of gram pulse (Daal Chana), providing staple nutrition tailored for families observing Ramazan.

The distribution is being conducted in a transparent and coordinated manner with Provincial Disaster Management Authorities, the Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority, the State Disaster Management Authority, district administrations and KSrelief implementing partners the Hayat Foundation and the Peace & Development Organization. Local coordination aims to ensure timely delivery and reach those most affected by food insecurity.

By rolling out the Ramadan food basket under Phase-5 of the Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2026, KSrelief reaffirms its commitment to alleviating hardship, strengthening resilience and supporting vulnerable communities during the holy month. The initiative underscores continued collaboration between international relief agencies and Pakistani disaster management bodies to address immediate food needs across the country.
