Leaders Attend Chaudhry Iftikhar Funeral in Rawalpindi

PML-N and local leaders attended Chaudhry Iftikhar funeral in Rawalpindi, offering prayers and condolences to the bereaved family.

A large gathering of political and social figures assembled in Rawalpindi to offer the funeral prayer for the late Chaudhry Iftikhar, who is survived by Chaudhry Inam Zafar and relatives including Chaudhry Saad ul Haq Chohan and Zain ul Haq Chohan. The ceremony drew leaders from across party lines and local community representatives.

Among those who offered prayers were Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz central leader and former senator Chaudhry Muhammad Tanveer Khan, Pirzada Rahat Masood Qadusi, Hafiz Usman Abbasi, Raja Mushtaq, Atiq Sarwar and Dr. Shafiq. Legal and civic figures present included Advocate Nadeem Bhatti and Advocate Umair Cheema, reflecting broad support for the bereaved family.

Local leadership from Chaklala Cantt and surrounding areas also took part, with former vice president Chaklala Cantt Raja Irfan Imtiaz, former chairman Shahid Pappu Maqbool Ahmad Khan, Yasir Butt, Ilyas Subhani, Shehbaz Goshi and Faisal Awan paying their respects. Former councillors and community activists such as Shabbir Ahmed, Hafiz Akram, Saif Rehman, Malik Sher, Mun Bhai and Chaudhry Azhar Rasheed joined the prayers.

Members of the cantonment board and veteran officeholders were present as well, including Haji Parvez Akhtar, former chairman Haji Jamil Akhtar and Nazir Kashmiri, along with many other political and social personalities. The turnout underscored the respect held for Chaudhry Iftikhar and the solidarity shown by PML-N leaders and local politicians in Rawalpindi during the family’s time of grief.
