**Peace & Justice Network Launches Legal Incubator Program to Equip Aspiring Lawyers in Pakistan**
The Peace & Justice Network (PJN), in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Pakistan, has launched a pioneering Legal Incubator Program at Karachi University, Sindh, aiming to empower the next generation of legal professionals. This initiative is set to transform the future of legal practice and justice delivery in Pakistan by equipping law students and recent graduates with the essential skills and experience needed for impactful careers.
Spearheaded by PJN’s Director of Rule of Law & Gender Justice, Advocate Faiza Farooq, the program began with an orientation and capacity-building session for law students. The Legal Incubator is specifically designed for final-year students and recent law graduates, offering mentorship, practical training, and exposure to real-life legal challenges. The program’s core mission is to nurture lawyer-leaders dedicated to social justice, legal empowerment, and a strong commitment to pro bono service.
Unlike traditional training courses, the Legal Incubator seeks to redefine the role of lawyers in Pakistan by positioning them as agents of justice, equity, and accountability. Through this initiative, participants will receive hands-on experience while contributing meaningfully to access to justice and legal leadership in their communities.
