MCI revokes temporary permits for the use of open spaces in Islamabad

A notification released by the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) has declared that all permits granted by the municipal body have been revoked. This decision has been made by the administrator of Municipal Corporation Islamabad in an effort to combat encroachment in commercial centers, markets, and marakaz within the city’s municipal limits.

Consequently, all temporary permissions issued by the DMA, MCI for outdoor seating arrangements, placement of generators, deep freezers, chillers, car parking, erecting sheds, cemented blocks, etc. have been cancelled immediately. Additionally,

A public notice has been published in a national newspaper to inform the public about the same. The notification further requests the Director General Enforcement CDA to undertake an operation against encroachments throughout the city.
