Mishal Hussain Malik, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, met FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh and congratulated him on his nomination for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
During the meeting, Mishal Hussain Malik appreciated Atif Ikram Sheikh’s social and welfare services for the business community and the public.
The meeting discussed the promotion of regional peace, cultural activities and economic linkages. The role of culture, art and soft power in advancing peace was also highlighted.
Mishal Hussain Malik said cultural awareness was an effective means of highlighting human rights and peace at the global level.
FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh stressed the role of the business community in regional peace and stability. He said joint initiatives were necessary for the promotion of peace, culture and economic activities in Pakistan.
Atif Ikram Sheikh said regional stability was of fundamental importance for trade, investment and economic development. He said culture and soft power could play an important role in projecting Pakistan’s positive identity.
He said new opportunities for economic cooperation in the region could be created by promoting peace and cultural linkages. He added that the business community was playing its role not only for economic growth but also for peace and social welfare.
The FPCCI president said sustainable peace in the region would pave the way for trade, investment and economic prosperity. He said FPCCI would support every positive effort for the promotion of peace, culture and economic linkages.
Atif Ikram Sheikh further said regional peace was indispensable for sustainable economic development, and the business community would continue to support social and peaceful causes.
FPCCI Vice President Tariq Khan Jadoon and Capital Office In-charge Karim Aziz Malik were also present at the meeting.
