Monsoon Plantation Drive Supports Climate Resilience in Mohmand

In a collaborative effort to support climate resilience, volunteers from the PRCS Mohmand branch have launched a Monsoon Plantation Drive under the IFRC and Italian Red Cross Youth Engagement Promoting SDGs project. The initiative aims to advance environmental sustainability in the region.

The drive began with its first phase at DHQ Hospital Ghallanai, where the Medical Superintendent led by planting fruit trees within the hospital grounds. The ceremony brought together PRCS volunteers, officials from the District Forest Office, and members of Civil Defence, showcasing a strong collective commitment to environmental stewardship and a healthier local community.

This joint initiative is part of ongoing efforts to foster greener landscapes and reinforce climate resilience, highlighting the importance of partnership and youth involvement in advancing sustainable development goals.
