A large Rawalpindi protest organized by MSO Pakistan assembled in front of the Press Club Rawalpindi to condemn the attack on the Samood flotilla, the arrest of volunteer activists and the proposed 20 point deal advocated by Donald Trump. The Rawalpindi protest drew students, civil society activists and ordinary citizens united in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Arsalan Kiani, Nazim Aala of MSO Pakistan, led the demonstration as participants voiced strong rejection of the assault on a humanitarian convoy that aimed to deliver medicines and essential supplies to Gaza. Organizers emphasized that volunteers aboard the Samood flotilla came from a range of countries solely to provide relief, and their detention represents a blatant violation of international norms.
Speakers at the rally described the Samood flotilla as a peaceful humanitarian mission whose targeting is not only an act of oppression but a stain on humanity. They argued that the Palestinian cause transcends regional politics and reflects the rights and dignity of the wider Muslim Ummah and the global community.
Addressing the proposed 20 point Trump deal, protesters called it an attempt to advance an Israeli agenda designed to strip Palestinians of fundamental rights. They warned that such schemes will not be accepted by the Muslim world and urged Muslim countries to come together on a single practical platform to defend Palestinian rights.
Students present at the demonstration reaffirmed their solidarity with the struggle for Palestinian freedom and resolved to continue support at every level. Demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing occupation and cautioned that aggressive policies against Palestinians are the greatest threat to regional peace and stability.
At the close of the Rawalpindi protest, Arsalan Kiani said the action was not merely symbolic but a clear message that Pakistan’s youth and student bodies will not abandon the oppressed. MSO Pakistan pledged to sustain its efforts and amplify the Palestinian voice on all available platforms. Issued by Sufyan Abbasi, Information and Publicity Department, MSO Rawalpindi.
