NADRA registration drive reached rural women via Lok Virsa conference, school sessions in Chakwal Attock Mandi Bahauddin and mobile vans offering priority services.

On the occasion of the International Day of Rural Women, NADRA’s Regional Head Office in Islamabad led a series of awareness activities to bring registration services closer to rural communities and highlight the importance of legal identity for women.

As part of a three-day awareness conference organised by PODA at Lok Virsa, NADRA staffed a dedicated stall where staff explained the registration process, demonstrated available services and answered questions from attendees. The presence at Lok Virsa aimed to connect cultural outreach with practical steps to secure identity documentation.

Targeted sessions were held at girls’ schools and colleges in Chakwal, Attock and Mandi Bahauddin where students learned why women’s registration matters for access to services and civic participation. Teachers and social activists were encouraged to motivate students to share the message within their families and communities, reinforcing the role of educated youth in advancing women’s registration.

To address access barriers in remote areas, mobile registration vans were deployed with priority services for women. Working alongside local social figures and community leaders, these mobile units provided on-the-spot registration and guidance, helping women complete necessary documentation without long travel or delay.

The Islamabad-led initiative emphasised practical support and community engagement to increase female registration rates. By combining outreach at Lok Virsa, educational sessions in district schools and on-site mobile services, NADRA registration efforts sought to remove obstacles and encourage sustained participation from rural women across the region.
