Farah Naz Akbar Visits NAPA to Support Performing Arts

Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, underscored the government’s support for the performing arts during her recent visit to the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA). She commended the Academy’s remarkable contributions in nurturing artistic talent and pledged support in obtaining accreditation of its degree programs from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as well as securing permanent premises for the institution.

Upon arrival, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar received a warm welcome from the Chairman of NAPA’s Board of Directors, Syed Jawaid Iqbal, accompanied by faculty members. During the visit, she toured various facilities, including theatres, classrooms, and state-of-the-art music studios.

Interacting closely with both students and staff, Ms. Akbar appreciated their efforts and dedication in enriching Pakistan’s performing arts scene. She emphasized the importance of extending NAPA’s presence and services beyond Karachi to other regions, stressing the need to develop and support artistic talent nationwide.

At the conclusion of her tour, the faculty of NAPA presented Ms. Akbar with a commemorative memento, symbolizing their gratitude for her visit and acknowledging her commitment to advancing cultural and artistic education across the country.
