Naseerabad police in Rawalpindi have arrested a suspect accused of carrying out a robbery on a man who had just withdrawn cash from a bank. Authorities recovered Rs14 lakh and a mobile phone from the detained suspect, according to the Rawalpindi Police spokesperson.
The incident, described by police as the Naseerabad robbery, followed a recent exchange of fire in the same area in which an associate of the arrested man was killed during an encounter with a police party. Investigators say the arrest is the result of targeted action by the Naseerabad police team.
SP Potohar Talha Wali confirmed that the suspect will be presented in court with solid evidence. He emphasized that those who attack citizens or target their property will not escape the law and that the police remain committed to protecting public safety.
The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson added that the case file will be formally submitted to the court after documentation is completed and urged citizens to cooperate with authorities as the Naseerabad robbery investigation continues.
