National Games Netball semifinals in Karachi today as Army, Police, WAPDA and Navy compete for final berths at PSB Coaching Centre.

The semifinal line-up for the 35th National Games Netball has been confirmed, with men’s and women’s semis scheduled for Saturday at the PSB Coaching Centre in Karachi.

In the men’s competition Pakistan Army, Pakistan Police, Pakistan WAPDA and Pakistan Navy have advanced to the last four. The first men’s semifinal will see Pakistan Army face Pakistan Police, while the second will pit Pakistan WAPDA against Pakistan Navy. These fixtures set up intense local rivalries as teams compete for a place in the final.

The women’s draw produced four semifinalists as well: Pakistan WAPDA, AJK (Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Pakistan Army and Sindh. In the first women’s semifinal Pakistan WAPDA will meet AJK, and in the other Pakistan Army will play Sindh. Strong defensive displays and disciplined attacking will be decisive in both encounters.

Results from the previous day decided the semifinalists. In men’s matches Pakistan WAPDA defeated Sindh 31-18, Pakistan Army beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 33-17, Pakistan Navy edged Punjab 41-39, and Pakistan Police overcame Balochistan 28-11. These outcomes reflected organized team play and clinical finishing under pressure.

In the women’s fixtures Pakistan WAPDA dominated Gilgit-Baltistan 38-3, AJK beat Punjab 10-7, Pakistan Army trounced Gilgit-Baltistan 37-2, and Sindh defeated AJK 36-4. The scoring margins underlined WAPDA and Sindh’s attacking strength as they prepare for the semifinals.

The event will conclude with the final and third-place matches on Sunday, when medals, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the successful teams and players at the closing ceremonies. Local spectators and supporters are expected to turn out as National Games Netball reaches its decisive stages in Karachi.
