A landmark partnership has been established between the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Hazza Institute of Technology, aiming to enhance vocational and technical cooperation as part of the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The agreement, signed in Beijing, is expected to significantly boost skills training, facilitate technology transfer, and build a sustainable talent pipeline to support Chinese-led projects in Pakistan and potentially other regions.
At the signing ceremony, Federal Minister for Planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the lasting value of investing in skills development, highlighting its role in fostering economic growth, dignity, and new opportunities for youth.
The collaboration is a key component of the #UraanPakistan initiative, which falls under the Government’s 5Es Framework. It aims to accelerate specialized training in cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, green technologies, and advanced manufacturing. Through this partnership, young people will be empowered with the technical expertise needed to excel in the industries of the future, supporting Pakistan’s broader economic and technological ambitions under CPEC Phase II.
