Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Centre opens at Muhammad Hussain General Hospital Samli, improving cardiac care access for Murree and nearby communities.

The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology has pioneered the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Centre at Muhammad Hussain General Hospital in Samli to facilitate patients from Murree and the surrounding areas. The new centre is intended to bring essential cardiac care closer to residents who previously had to travel farther for specialist services.

The centre was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on 1st October 2025, marking a significant step in expanding regional healthcare access. The opening underscores local government and RIC collaboration to address cardiovascular needs in hilly and peri-urban communities.

By situating the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology facility within the Muhammad Hussain General Hospital campus, authorities aim to streamline referrals and provide timely attention to cardiac patients from Murree and neighbouring towns. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to improve availability of heart care services outside major urban centres.

The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology’s role in establishing the centre reflects a focused attempt to strengthen cardiac services in the region. Continued support and coordination between provincial leadership and healthcare institutions will be important to ensure the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Centre meets local needs.
