The Infrastructure Advisory & Project Development Wing of NDMA convened a seminar on 5 November 2025 at NDMA Headquarters in Islamabad to chart sustainable pathways for rebuilding after the monsoon season. His remarks stressed the importance of turning the Build Back Better vision into measurable action on the ground.

Participants discussed strengthening infrastructure against flood risks through design standards and retrofitting, and presented smart and sustainable reconstruction models intended to guide Post Monsoon Reconstruction efforts in affected areas. Emphasis was placed on solutions that balance immediate recovery needs with long-term environmental and social benefits.

Speakers highlighted the need to integrate resilience into urban planning and the protection of critical infrastructure, aligning national recovery plans with international best practices and technical guidance.
