The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has signed a Letter of Agreement with the British Pakistani Welfare Association (BPWA), one of the leading diaspora organizations in the United Kingdom, building on its recent engagement with Pakistani communities in North America.
This NDMA partnership further expands the authority’s global outreach to harness diaspora expertise, advocacy and resources to strengthen disaster preparedness and climate resilience in Pakistan.
Under the visionary leadership of the Chairman NDMA, the authority is advancing a proactive, technology-enabled approach to disaster management, forging lasting global alliances that aim to improve early warning, preparedness and response capacities across the country.
The agreement with BPWA underscores the NDMA partnership‘s practical channel for tapping professional expertise, community advocacy and resource support from the UK diaspora, reinforcing NDMA’s strategy of working with international partners to build a safer, more resilient Pakistan.
