The 52nd Sant Shri Nenuram Mela in Tharparkar opened with traditional Hindu rites, including a hawan yagya and the ceremonial draping of a chadar at Khatt Sahib, and was formally inaugurated by Member of the National Assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani.
The annual celebrations began with a hawan yagya performed according to Hindu traditions, a fire ritual invoking blessings and purification. Following the yagya, organizers observed the ceremonial placing of a chadar at Khatt Sahib, an act of reverence central to the mela’s observances.
The festival was officially opened by Patron-in-Chief and MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, who was joined by local community leaders, government officials, and devotees. Their participation highlighted the event’s communal and cultural importance.
Marking its 52nd anniversary, the Sant Shri Nenuram Mela remains a significant religious and cultural gathering for the Hindu community in Tharparkar. The annual event continues to preserve local traditions, strengthen community bonds, and attract devotees who come together to honor the saint and observe longstanding rituals.
