NIH Hostels Minister Orders Immediate Repair and Restoration

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal inspected the old hostel buildings at the National Institute of Health and expressed serious concern over their dilapidated condition, directing officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for immediate repair and rehabilitation.

During his visit, the minister examined the deteriorating hostels and noted visible signs of neglect and disrepair. He highlighted the urgency of restoring the facilities to acceptable standards to ensure they are safe and usable.

He instructed the NIH administration to develop a detailed, time-bound plan covering immediate repair and rehabilitation measures. The plan should identify key deficiencies, outline necessary structural and service repairs, and propose a schedule for carrying out the work.

The minister called for prompt coordination with relevant authorities to mobilize resources and technical support needed for the rehabilitation. He emphasized that restoring the hostel facilities must be treated as a priority to safeguard the welfare of those who use them and to maintain the institute’s functioning.
