The National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad organized a collective prayer event at its mosque to honor deceased members, their relatives, and loved ones. The gathering included Quran recitation for the departed souls, heartfelt prayers, and beautiful Na’at recitals expressing devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The prayer meeting was held in keeping with the NPC’s longstanding tradition of remembering and honoring members who have passed away. The participants offered Quran recitations seeking forgiveness and peace for the departed members and their close relatives.
Those remembered during this solemn occasion included senior member Mehboob Shah, former governing body member Alam Zeb’s elder brother, Mahwish Nazir’s mother, Salma Malik’s father, Amir Nazir’s father, Asghar Hayat’s mother, the elder brother of Nisar Hussain and Alamdar Hussain, Mazhar Shehzad’s elder brother and brother-in-law, Eid Muhammad’s uncle, Ejaz Saghar’s uncle, Shakeel Ahmad’s paternal cousin sister, and Shafqat Bali’s uncle.
The prayer gathering was attended by NPC President Azhar Jatoi, Secretary Nayyar Ali, Joint Secretary Javed Bhagat, Governing Body members including Amir Rafiq Butt, Naveed Ahmad Sheikh, and Faiza Shah Kazmi. A large number of NPC members, journalists, friends, and family members of the deceased were also present on the occasion.
