The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has partnered with Amal Academy to successfully complete the Amal Career-Prep Fellowship Program, providing 140 students with essential professional skills to better prepare them for the job market. The program, conducted on the NUST campus, aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of modern workplaces.
Delivered onsite to ensure maximum engagement, the fellowship allowed students to participate in training while continuing their regular academic activities. Amal Academy, a social enterprise supported by Stanford University, designed the fellowship to focus on core competencies such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and career development.
Over the three-month program, students attended interactive weekend sessions, engaged in real-world projects, participated in mock interviews, and attended resume-building workshops. With an emphasis on peer collaboration, the fellows gained valuable exposure to professional environments. The curriculum also highlighted the importance of values like empathy, initiative, and accountability to ensure participants are prepared not only for securing jobs but for building impactful careers.
This initiative underscores NUST’s ongoing commitment to fostering student success and ensuring industry readiness among its graduates, equipping them with a blend of technical skills and the mindset needed to thrive in today’s dynamic workplaces.
