Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency held a public hearing to gather stakeholder feedback on the proposed One Hills Apartments Towers I and III in Bahria Hills. The session was chaired by Khalid Mehmood Chadhar, Director (EIA/Monitoring) at Pak-EPA, and brought together project representatives, local residents and concerned organizations to discuss the project and its environmental considerations.
The One Hills Apartments development is proposed for Hill Top Road in Bahria Hills. The hearing took place at Umania Restaurant and Banquets Hall on Main Murree Road in Bhara Kahu, where the project proponent presented the proposal and related environmental information to attendees.
Under the chairmanship of Khalid Mehmood Chadhar, the proceedings included presentations from the developer followed by questions and comments from stakeholders. The format allowed community members and organizational representatives to raise concerns, request clarifications and offer recommendations.
Local residents and interest groups participated actively, sharing views on potential impacts and mitigation measures. Pak-EPA officials recorded those inputs as part of the environmental review process.
Pak-EPA will assess the submissions and incorporate relevant feedback into its evaluation of the EIA documentation before issuing any regulatory determinations. The agency emphasized that stakeholder input is an integral part of the environmental decision-making process.
