Dr Nuzhat Rahil and the Eye Department under the umbrella of OSP organized an external Ophthalmology CPC at LRH that brought together around 60–65 doctors from teaching hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The event created an open forum for clinical exchange among professors, consultants and PGRs from the region.
In the OPD more than 20 patients were examined and discussed by the attending ophthalmologists, allowing participants to review real cases, refine diagnostic approaches and share management strategies. The Ophthalmology CPC emphasized practical learning and collaborative case review to strengthen eye care across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Following the clinical sessions, unique and academically significant cases were presented in the auditorium, where consultants and trainees engaged in focused discussion on complex presentations and recent developments in ophthalmic practice.
A quiz competition between TMOs added an interactive training element and tested clinical knowledge under friendly competition. The presence of the Dean LRH graced the event and underscored institutional support for continuous professional development in ophthalmology, reinforcing LRH’s role as a training hub for the province.
