Hanan Shahid was named man of the match for his decisive contributions in attack.
The second semi-final between Customs and Mari Energies was a tense affair that finished 1-1 in regulation time, with Abdul Qayyum converting for Customs and Sufyan Khan equalising for Mari Energies. The contest went to a penalty shootout where Mari Energies held their nerve, prevailing 4-3 in a shootout punctuated by key saves and composed spot-kicks.
In the shootout Mari Energies saw Ahmed Nadeem convert twice while Umer Mustafa and Arshad Liaqat also found the target. Customs responded through Rana Sohail, Arbaz and Hamza Fayyaz but came up one short. Abdullah Ishtiaq of Mari Energies was awarded man of the match for crucial saves that swung the shootout in his side’s favour.
The victory sets up a final between Pakistan Navy and Mari Energies on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1500 hours at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. The All-Pakistan Hockey final will be attended by the Chief of the Naval Staff, who will act as chief guest and present awards to the finalists.
