Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has arrived in Washington, D.C., beginning a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States. The visit will focus on advancing cooperation in trade, investment, and economic matters.
Upon his arrival, Senator Dar was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with senior officials from the Embassy of Pakistan. The Deputy Prime Minister is set to hold talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Department of State. The meeting is expected to cover key aspects of the Pakistan-U.S. relationship, with both sides exploring new avenues to enhance economic partnership and broaden mutual cooperation.
In addition to his meeting at the State Department, Senator Dar will address the Atlantic Council, a prominent U.S. think tank. During his address, he is expected to present Pakistan’s perspective on major regional and global challenges as well as outline the country’s vision for the future of Pakistan-U.S. relations. The visit underscores Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to engage constructively with the United States on a range of strategic and economic issues.
