Pakistan’s AI Policy and Tech Drive Set Global Ambition

Pakistan is positioning itself as a rising global technology leader through a series of major government-led initiatives, including the launch of a National Artificial Intelligence Policy and strategic investments in emerging technologies. The country is aiming to build a future-focused digital ecosystem, signaling a rapid move toward a knowledge-based economy.

Led by the Ministry of IT and Telecom, Pakistan is accelerating efforts in key technology sectors such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and 5G. Among its most ambitious initiatives is the National AI Advancement Initiative, which aims to support the development of one million AI professionals by 2030.

Public-private partnerships are at the forefront of this transformation. Ignite, a national technology fund, is playing a critical role by funding research and development, supporting startups, and establishing innovation hubs across the country. These moves are not only adopting global advancements in technology but also positioning Pakistan as a shaper of the digital future.
