Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a landmark bilateral agreement aimed at enhancing cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors. The Memorandum of Cooperation, signed during a high-level official visit by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, to Baku, focuses on institutional capacity-building, experience-sharing, and collaborative initiatives in the field of law.

During his official visit to Azerbaijan, Federal Minister Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar held crucial meetings with senior Azerbaijani officials. Minister Tarar had in-depth discussions with Prime Minister Ali Hidayat Oglu Asadov to further strengthen diplomatic ties between the two friendly nations.

Additionally, Minister Tarar met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice Fikrat Tural Oglu Mammadov and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Inam Imdad Oglu Karimov. The dignitaries exchanged perspectives on key legal matters including judicial reforms, the digitization of judicial systems, and measures to promote alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

The highlight of Minister Tarar’s visit was the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the ministries responsible for law and justice of both countries.
