On 4 October 2025 in Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr Badr Abdelatty to discuss bilateral ties and the grave situation in Gaza. The talks emphasised the importance of ensuring unhindered humanitarian assistance to civilians and advancing cooperative initiatives aimed at restoring lasting peace in the territory.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s clear support for efforts to achieve a Gaza ceasefire and noted Islamabad’s welcome of recent developments, including Hamas’ response to the proposed peace plan, which the ministers said could open a path to ending the bloodshed and easing civilian suffering.

Mr Dar also extended an invitation to Dr Abdelatty to visit Pakistan, an invitation the Egyptian minister accepted, signalling a mutual commitment to strengthen diplomatic coordination. Both sides agreed to remain closely engaged and aligned in their efforts to press for a just and lasting resolution in Gaza and to safeguard humanitarian corridors.
