Pakistan Belarus Ties Strengthened in First Briefing

Pakistan Belarus ties advanced as the Parliamentary Friendship Group held its first briefing to explore trade, education, labour mobility and industrial cooperation.

On 10 December 2025 the Pakistan-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group convened its inaugural briefing at Parliament House Islamabad under the convenership of Ms. Natasha Daultana, MNA, with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Muhemmed Aejaz, joining the session virtually.

The convener welcomed participants and underlined the need for structured and sustained engagement to deepen parliamentary interaction and coordination, stressing that continuous dialogue is essential to advance Pakistan Belarus ties across multiple sectors.

Ambassador Muhemmed Aejaz briefed members on a marked improvement in bilateral relations over the past year, noting enhanced diplomatic engagement and tangible progress in trade, industry and government-to-government cooperation. He also highlighted priorities including labour mobility, regional connectivity challenges and growing prospects for industrial and technical collaboration.

Members discussed concrete avenues for cooperation in education, academic exchanges and scholarships alongside business-to-business linkages. Delegates explored opportunities in agriculture, machinery and smart technologies while emphasising the importance of strengthening people-to-people contacts to support long-term Pakistan Belarus ties.

The convener reaffirmed the group’s commitment to follow-up action and improved coordination with relevant ministries, pledging proactive parliamentary diplomacy to convert discussions into practical initiatives that can benefit Pakistan’s industry, students and workforce. Attendees included Mr. Mohammad Usman Badini, Ms. Kiran Imran Dar, Mr. Ali Jan Mazari, Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Mr. Naveed Aamir and Ms. Shamaila Rana.
