**Pakistan’s Climate Change Minister Pledges Support for Youth-led Carbon and Clean Energy Startups**

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, has vowed robust support for young entrepreneurs driving innovation in clean energy and carbon markets. In a recent high-level meeting with Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Defense, Ms. Zeb Jaffer, and several green startups, Dr. Malik emphasized the government’s commitment to accelerating Pakistan’s transition to net-zero carbon emissions through youth-led initiatives.

During the meeting, Dr. Malik held detailed discussions with Carbon Croft, a prominent carbon advisory firm specializing in carbon market mechanisms and climate finance solutions. The talks underscored the critical role that companies like Carbon Croft play in facilitating Pakistan’s access to emerging carbon markets, thereby strengthening national efforts to combat climate change.

The Minister also engaged with representatives from Carbon Flora, an innovative startup dedicated to broadening public participation in carbon offsetting. Carbon Flora seeks to democratize access to carbon credits for individual users, as well as raise awareness about the importance and benefits of carbon offset opportunities.

Expressing strong interest in the potential of these youth-led startups, Dr. Malik reaffirmed the government’s resolve to foster clean energy innovation and to create a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs across Pakistan. He reiterated his ministry’s intent to enable game-changing green solutions, recognizing that entrepreneurial energy and innovative approaches are central to achieving the country’s climate goals.

The engagement reflects the government’s broader strategy to empower emerging talent and ensure Pakistan’s leadership in the fight against climate change, while driving sustainable development and green job creation.
