Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with Federal Minister for Planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal, visited the Luban TVET Exhibition Hall in Tianjin where they highlighted the crucial role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in sustainable development, workforce enhancement, and strengthening Pakistan-China economic relations.
During the visit, the federal ministers met with seven Pakistani students who are participating in training under the Luban Initiative. This meeting underscored the importance of skill transfer and capacity building in enhancing professional expertise among Pakistani youth.
The Luban workshops, which began in Tianjin in 2016, have expanded to include 36 centers in more than 30 countries, setting new global standards for technical education. Pakistan joined this initiative in 2018 with the establishment of its first Luban workshop in Lahore, marking a significant step toward educational and technical cooperation between Pakistan and China.
