Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with Federal Minister for Planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal, visited the Luban TVET Exhibition Hall in Tianjin to highlight the critical role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in promoting sustainable development, building workforce capacities, and strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China.

During their visit, the ministers met with seven Pakistani students who are receiving training under the Luban Initiative. This initiative aims to transfer skills and enhance technical abilities, exemplifying successful collaboration in vocational education between the two countries.

Since its inception in Tianjin in 2016, Luban Workshops have expanded to 36 centers across more than 30 countries, setting a global standard for technical education. Pakistan became part of this initiative in 2018 with the establishment of its first Luban Workshop in Lahore, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to elevate technical training and economic cooperation with China.
