**Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Iran in Talks with Iranian Counterpart**
Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has strongly condemned Israel’s recent acts of aggression against Iran during a meeting with Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran. The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, highlighting Pakistan’s firm backing of Iran’s sovereignty and the importance of stability in the Middle East.
During the meeting, Speaker Sadiq underscored the longstanding and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Iran, noting that the two countries are bound by a shared pursuit of peace, stability, and prosperity. He stressed the importance of ongoing collaboration and mutual respect at both governmental and societal levels.
Reiterating Pakistan’s condemnation of Israel’s unprovoked aggression, Sadiq affirmed his country’s unwavering support for Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He praised Iran for its measured response, commending efforts to prevent further escalation in the region. Speaker Sadiq emphasized Pakistan’s hope for enduring peace across the Middle East and West Asia.
Addressing the Iranian nuclear issue, Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s position as a strong advocate for resolving such matters through dialogue, engagement, and multilateral cooperation, rather than confrontation.
Both parliamentary leaders acknowledged the constructive roles their legislatures play in deepening bilateral relations, particularly through the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Groups. They agreed to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation and people-to-people contacts, and to maintain collective efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and development through diplomatic engagement.
