**Pakistani American Community Hosts Ministers at New York Luncheon**
The Pakistani American community in New York hosted a well-attended luncheon in honor of two visiting dignitaries—the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and the Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce, Investment, and Skills, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain. The event was marked by strong participation from Pakistani Americans representing a wide array of professional backgrounds, underscoring the diaspora’s close engagement with Pakistan’s progress and development.
During the luncheon, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain addressed the attendees, describing overseas Pakistanis as a “valuable national asset.” He emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to support Pakistanis living abroad, highlighting a series of new initiatives designed to serve their needs and enhance their connection to their homeland.
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain shared key details of Punjab’s investment-friendly policies, emphasizing the provincial leadership’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investors. He added that the government is also focused on delivering essential amenities to citizens, aiming to improve quality of life across urban and rural areas.
Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, welcomed the visiting ministers and praised the significant contributions of overseas Pakistanis. He noted that their efforts not only strengthen their adopted communities in the United States, but also play a vital role in the economic and social development of Pakistan.
