**Pakistan and Czech Republic Commit to Deepening Bilateral Cooperation Following High-Level Parliamentary Meeting**

The Convener of the Pakistan–Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group, Makhdoom Syed Sami-ul-Hassan Gillani, has met with Czech Ambassador Mr. Ladislav Steinhübel in Islamabad to discuss strengthened collaboration in a range of sectors, marking a renewed commitment to enhancing bilateral ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, both officials reviewed the current landscape of Pakistan–Czech Republic cooperation and identified new opportunities for partnership, particularly in agriculture, industry, trade, and investment. Makhdoom Gillani emphasized the crucial role played by Parliamentary Friendship Groups in advancing economic diplomacy and increasing bilateral engagement through direct parliamentary channels.

The discussion also recalled the positive impact of previous parliamentary visits, including the 2019 visit of a Czech delegation headed by Mr. Daniel Pawlas, Chairman of the Czech–Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group. Both parties agreed that such exchanges lay the foundation for lasting relationships and foster mutual understanding at the legislative level.

Ambassador Steinhübel praised the enduring friendship between Pakistan and the Czech Republic and highlighted the contribution of parliamentary diplomacy in solidifying ties. He reiterated his country’s commitment to further deepening cooperation and confirmed plans to visit Pakistan’s National Assembly later this year for a formal engagement with the Parliamentary Friendship Group, responding to an invitation from the Pakistani convener.

Concluding their meeting, both sides agreed to intensify efforts through parliamentary and diplomatic channels, focusing on promoting people-to-people contacts and broadening multi-sectoral cooperation. This shared resolve underlines a forward-looking partnership aimed at delivering tangible benefits for both countries.
