Ambassador Khalil Hashmi met with H.E. Nurlan Yermekbayev, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, to congratulate him on the successful conclusion of the recent SCO summit and to reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for the organization. The two officials noted the summit’s adoption of 27 outcome documents and discussed ways to deepen cooperation within the SCO framework.
During the meeting, Ambassador Hashmi praised the summit’s productive results and highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with the SCO and its members. Secretary General Yermekbayev received Pakistan’s congratulations on the summit proceedings and the consensus reflected in the outcome documents.
Both sides exchanged views on practical pathways to strengthen cooperation, focusing on translating summit decisions into concrete collaboration. The conversation emphasized continued engagement and consultation to advance shared priorities within the SCO.
The meeting signals Pakistan’s intention to remain an active partner in the regional grouping and to pursue closer coordination with the SCO Secretariat and member states in the months ahead.
