Pakistan Iran Economic Cooperation Strengthens with ICCI Meeting

A high-level Iranian delegation has met with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss expanding economic cooperation between Iran and Pakistan. The talks focused on boosting trade, fostering joint ventures, encouraging investment, and strengthening industrial ties between the two neighboring countries.

The Iranian delegation, led by Reza Masrour, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones, was joined by senior officials including Mohammad Said Arbabi, Managing Director of the Chamber of Free Zones, Saeed Rabiei, Deputy Secretary of Free Zones, Ali Reza Khayyami, Director, Zahra Qadyanlo, Commercial Counsellor, Asif Ghias, Managing Director Zenith, and Faiza Hussaini. The ICCI was represented by President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, Chairman of Founder Group Shaikh Tariq Sadiq, executive members, and key advisers.

During the meeting, both sides expressed a commitment to pursue mutually beneficial economic partnerships. Reza Masrour highlighted the opportunities available in Iran’s free trade zones, with particular emphasis on the Chabahar Free Zone, and encouraged Pakistani business leaders to visit and explore potential investment avenues.

The discussions underscored the importance of regional integration and cooperation for economic growth, with both sides agreeing to work closely to create new channels for business collaboration. The visit is seen as a positive step toward building stronger economic ties and enhancing business relationships between Iran and Pakistan.
