Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, to address the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and discuss regional cooperation. The dialogue emphasized Pakistan’s strong support for the Palestinian people and called for urgent humanitarian assistance for those affected by the conflict.
During the call, both leaders expressed profound concern over the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza, which continues to impact millions of Palestinian residents. Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian cause and stressed the urgent need for immediate and unhindered access to humanitarian aid in the region.
The Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of the forthcoming high-level international conference on Palestine, due to take place in New York. He conveyed hopes that the conference would yield meaningful progress towards the implementation of a two-state solution and lead to tangible support for the Palestinian people.
In addition to discussing the Gaza crisis, Senator Dar and Foreign Minister Araghchi explored avenues for strengthening bilateral relations. They also exchanged views on arranging a high-level visit to Pakistan by Iranian officials in the near future, reflecting the commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation on regional and international issues.
