Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired an inter-ministerial meeting in Islamabad on November 12, 2025 to advance Pakistan Iran relations. The gathering at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs brought together senior officials to concentrate on strengthening economic and trade ties between the two brotherly countries.

Discussions focused on measures to bolster economic and trade cooperation and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepen collaboration across various sectors. Participants underlined the need for coordinated action by ministries to maintain momentum on Pakistan Iran engagement and to explore practical avenues for closer cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Petroleum, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, SAPM Jahanzeb Khan, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, and other senior officials from the concerned ministries. Islamabad’s convening of this inter-ministerial forum reflects the government’s intent to prioritise Pakistan Iran relations and to sustain dialogue aimed at expanding bilateral economic and trade ties.
