Senior representatives from Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to strengthen cultural collaboration with a particular emphasis on fashion and music following a meeting in Islamabad. The discussion between Mr. Usman Shah, Honorary Advisor to the Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, and H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, set a clear direction for deeper artistic ties.
Ambassador Kistafin said Kazakhstan is preparing a comprehensive roadmap to expand cultural collaboration with Pakistan and will share the details soon. He noted both capitals are committed to broadening exchanges and disclosed that senior Pakistani officials have proposed a joint film to showcase the shared cultural heritage of the two nations.
Mr. Usman Shah underlined the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and stressed the importance of people-to-people contacts. He briefed the ambassador on the Department of Archaeology and Museums, which operates under the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, and highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to present its Buddhist heritage through 3D films as part of wider cultural outreach.
The ambassador invited Mr. Shah to visit Kazakhstan to meet local fashion designers and explore avenues for collaboration in the fashion industry. Mr. Shah accepted the invitation and assured full cooperation to promote Kazakh culture in Pakistan through active participation by Pakistani artists. Both sides highlighted that stronger cultural collaboration and educational cooperation will help deepen mutual understanding and create new opportunities in film, music and design.
