Lahore claimed victory in the men’s category while Karachi secured the women’s title as the second edition of the Pakistan Padel Ranking Cup wrapped up in Karachi. The national tournament, coordinated by the Pakistan Padel Federation in partnership with Padel Asia and the International Padel Federation, and in collaboration with local organizations Play Pro Maidan and Sindh Padel Federation, showcased the growing popularity of the sport in Pakistan.
In the men’s final, two Lahore-based teams, Team SK and Padel Square, faced off in a closely contested match. Team SK emerged as champions after a nail-biting finish, cementing their place at the top of Pakistan’s national rankings. The women’s competition saw Karachi’s Team MUV secure a straightforward 2-0 victory over the Padel Team, demonstrating impressive skill and teamwork. Meanwhile, the mixed category title was claimed by the pair known as Yum Prem.
At the closing ceremony, Pakistan Padel Federation President Mateen distributed trophies and a total of 600,000 rupees in cash prizes to winning athletes and officials. CEO of the Federation, Mudassir Arain, expressed confidence in the national players’ abilities and anticipated that they would soon excel on the international stage and bring further acclaim to Pakistan.
