Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) organized a large rally in Rawalpindi to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, emphasizing the party’s support for the country’s founding ideology and solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Thousands of TLP members and leaders from across the district participated in a motorcade that gathered at Liaquat Bagh, led by TLP North Punjab chief Peer Syed Inayat ul Haq Shah Sultanpuri.

Addressing the participants, Sultanpuri stated that Pakistan was not established for the personal interests of landlords and rulers, but through tremendous sacrifices by Muslims aiming to implement Islamic law. He emphasized that the nation’s security, honor, and dignity depend on upholding Sharia.

Haji Muhammad Ramzan Awan Chishti, TLP’s Rawalpindi Division chief, echoed these views, stressing that peace and respect for Pakistan can only be achieved through the implementation of Sharia.

Colonel (Retired) Waseem Ahmed Janjua, TLP president for Rawalpindi district, urged supporters to strengthen the party’s role in fortifying Pakistan, saying only with collective effort can the nation reach its true potential.

Alama Muhammad Rab Nawaz Farooqi, TLP district secretary general, criticized mainstream political parties, claiming that their leaders often change their stance and ideals after entering parliament, shifting from their earlier promises to personal interests.

The rally was marked by calls for unity, adherence to Islamic principles, and continued support for the Palestinian people.
