A parliamentary delegation from Pakistan, led by Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, visited the renowned “ASAN Service” Center in Baku, Azerbaijan, as part of their ongoing official visit. The delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the innovative practices and achievements of the ASAN Service model, aimed at streamlining public service delivery and promoting increased transparency and citizen satisfaction.
During their visit, Pakistani legislators gained extensive insights on how the ASAN Service Center functions under the framework of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations. This agency operates under the direct patronage of the President of Azerbaijan and strives to provide efficient and citizen- centric public services. The delegation expressed their admiration for this unique system, recognizing the visionary leadership of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in shaping and implementing a service-oriented model credited for significantly improving public sector accessibility and service standards across the country.
The Pakistani delegation learned that the ASAN Service concept has been successfully shared with more than twenty countries, including Pakistan, serving as a model of best practices internationally. It was highlighted during the briefing that numerous international organizations had recognized the center for its excellence, efficiency, and transparent operations, reflecting the global relevance and practical effectiveness of Azerbaijan’s public service reform approach.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq commended the innovative strategies and remarkable accomplishments of the ASAN Service initiative, emphasizing that Pakistan could benefit greatly from implementing similar systems. His remarks also underscored the potential for closer collaboration and knowledge-sharing between Pakistan and Azerbaijan regarding public sector innovation and reform.
