Pakistan’s National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) has issued a nationwide weather alert, warning of severe rainfall and potential flooding conditions across various regions. High water flow and minor flooding are expected in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, affecting major rivers including Chenab, Jhelum, Indus, Kabul, and Hunza. Low-level flooding is anticipated particularly at Marala and Qadirabad, while localized flooding may occur in northeastern Punjab, southern Balochistan (Awaran, Khuzdar, Jhal Magsi), and parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials have urged the public to adopt safety precautions throughout the ongoing rainy spell. Citizens are advised to avoid crossing rivers, streams, and bridges during this critical period. Residents of low-lying areas are particularly warned to implement protective measures in anticipation of urban and local flooding scenarios. Authorities also recommend maintaining an emergency preparedness kit with adequate supplies, including essential food items, clean drinking water, and necessary medicines.

To ensure public safety and awareness, the NEOC encourages residents to carefully monitor evolving weather conditions. Citizens are advised to stay updated and seek further timely guidance through official social media channels and the NDMA disaster alert mobile application.
