RIYADH: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will hold joint workshops aimed at aligning Pakistan’s national IT strategy with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, according to statements issued for immediate release.
The announcement came as Pakistan’s technology sector marked a prominent presence at the LEAP conference in Riyadh, where more than 50 Pakistani tech companies and 25 startups participated.
Addressing the conference, Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said no country could progress alone or in isolation, stressing that global cooperation was essential for technological advancement.
She said the LEAP conference reflected 240 million Pakistanis and the country’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem.
The minister said Pakistan would have to remove sectoral barriers in order to move forward in technology. She also underlined that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were not limited to trade.
“Our youth are a living proof of creativity,” Shaza Fatima Khawaja said, highlighting the role of young Pakistanis in the country’s technology landscape.
