The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Turkish diplomatic mission have agreed to strengthen economic ties and expand trade cooperation between the two countries. The consensus was reached during a meeting at TDAP headquarters in Karachi between Secretary TDAP, Sheryar Taj, and Murat Ozmen, Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye.
Both officials discussed various strategies to enhance bilateral trade, with a focus on identifying new sectors for collaboration and addressing obstacles that currently limit trade growth between Pakistan and Turkey. The meeting underscored the importance of concrete measures aimed at removing trade barriers and facilitating smoother exchanges of goods and services.
In addition, the two sides committed to promoting direct business-to-business (B2B) connections by supporting active participation in each other’s trade fairs and promotional events. Notable upcoming events include the Turkish Products Fair, scheduled to be held in Lahore, and TDAP’s flagship exhibition, FoodAg, which will take place at Karachi Expo Center. By encouraging mutual participation in these events, officials hope to generate business opportunities and foster lasting commercial partnerships.
