The Finance Minister of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, held discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and broader economic cooperation between the two countries. The meeting underlined the commitment of both nations to enhancing their partnership, with special emphasis placed on commerce, energy, and infrastructure development.
Senator Aurangzeb reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to deepening its ties with Turkmenistan, highlighting the momentum built by several recent high-level ministerial visits. He expressed optimism about expanding collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Movlamov lauded the partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, pointing to Pakistan’s significance not only as a key trading and investment partner but also as an essential transit hub for regional trade. Both officials explored the potential for joint ventures, with particular interest in the energy, transportation, and construction sectors.
To further promote economic collaboration, Ambassador Movlamov conveyed an official invitation from Turkmenistan’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Mammetguly Astanagulov, inviting Senator Aurangzeb to participate in the upcoming Turkmenistan Investment Forum in Ashgabat. The event will coincide with national celebrations marking Turkmenistan’s 34th year of independence, offering an opportunity to advance investment and economic ties between the two countries.
