Pakistan and China Explore Collaboration in TVET Sector

Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), held a meeting with the Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Mr. Yang Yundong, to discuss expanding cooperation in Pakistan’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector. The discussions centered on enhancing skills development, improving technical training programs, and strengthening efforts to build a highly skilled workforce.

Both representatives explored opportunities for future collaboration that would support Pakistan’s goals for workforce development. The meeting underscored the importance of developing robust training systems and leveraging international partnerships to meet the changing needs of the labor market. Efforts are expected to focus on sharing expertise, introducing advanced training methodologies, and implementing capacity building initiatives to benefit Pakistani youth and professionals.
