**Pakistan and World Economic Forum to Strengthen Collaboration for Knowledge Economy and Inclusive Growth**

Pakistan and the World Economic Forum (WEF) have agreed to enhance their cooperation in advancing the knowledge economy and promoting inclusive development. The decision was made during a meeting between WEF Managing Director and Board Member Ms. Saadia Zahidi and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary.

During the meeting, Professor Iqbal outlined the government’s reform agenda and the 5Es framework, which encompasses exports, Digital Pakistan, environment, energy, and equity. He emphasized that Pakistan is shifting away from an import-substitution model towards innovation-driven growth, highlighting the country’s focus on technological advancement.

The Minister also pointed to forward-looking initiatives such as the establishment of national centers for nanotechnology and quantum computing, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to fostering advanced scientific research and technologies.

Both parties agreed to promote the exchange of institutional knowledge and intensify cooperation in empowering youth, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable development. The collaboration aims to build institutional capacity and drive socioeconomic progress in Pakistan.
