Pakistan Zimbabwe Trade Opportunities Discussed at RCCI

Muhammad Amjad Aziz Qazi, Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Zimbabwe, recently visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to discuss potential avenues for increasing bilateral trade between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The meeting, hosted by RCCI Acting President Khalid Farooqi Qazi, focused on identifying business opportunities for Pakistani companies in diverse sectors.

During their discussions, Ambassador-designate Qazi emphasized the importance of strengthening trade relations and encouraged Pakistani businesses to explore market opportunities available in Zimbabwe. Key sectors identified for enhanced trade and business collaboration included textiles, pharmaceuticals, sports goods, leather products, agri-food items, and tourism.

Acting President of RCCI, Khalid Farooqi Qazi, warmly welcomed the ambassador-designate and expressed RCCI’s commitment to facilitating trade and investment initiatives with Zimbabwe. He reiterated the Chamber’s role in promoting local industries and businesses through international collaboration and highlighted RCCI’s readiness to actively support trade delegations and business networking between the two countries.

Executive members Rehmanullah Khan and Ayad Afzal Sheikh were also present in the meeting to discuss practical strategies and exchange insights on exploring the Zimbabwean market. The visit concluded on an optimistic note, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen interactions and cooperation to achieve mutual benefits and broader economic growth objectives.
