Ambassador Saqlain Syedah recently met with a 13-member delegation from the Overseas Employees Corporation, part of Pakistan’s Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, during their study visit to Germany. The delegation is in Germany at the invitation of GIZ to explore labor market dynamics and exchange ideas on workforce development.
During their meeting, discussions centered on the key challenges faced by Pakistani migrants in Germany, including issues of integration, obtaining proper documentation, and securing employment rights. The participants addressed practical solutions and strategies to support Pakistani workers adapting to life in Germany.
Ambassador Syedah highlighted the embassy’s role in facilitating the mobility of skilled labor and emphasized ongoing collaboration with German institutions to address these challenges. The ambassador underscored the importance of building stronger partnerships to promote the welfare of Pakistani migrants and ensure their contributions to Germany’s workforce are recognized and supported.
