Patrolling Police Rawalpindi Hosts Blood Donation and Medical Camp on Independence Day

The Punjab Highway Patrol in Rawalpindi Region organized a blood donation drive and a free medical camp as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The initiative aimed to provide medical services and promote community welfare while honoring the national occasion.

Across all regional posts, the patrol police held flag-raising ceremonies, offered special prayers for the nation’s peace and prosperity, and celebrated the day by cutting cakes. At the Chowk Pandori post, Sub-Inspector Atiq ur Rehman Kayani led the efforts to establish the blood donation and medical camps.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Patrolling, Muhammad Irfan Butt, attended as the chief guest and personally donated blood, demonstrating the department’s commitment to public service. The blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the Sundas Foundation Islamabad, represented by Director Aftab Hussain, Admin Manager Khizar Hayat, and their team. The drive saw participation from 50 donors.

The free medical camp was set up with the support of Roshan Health Research and Welfare Society Pakistan, Mohsin Homeo Store Bohar Bazaar, and BM Pharmacy Lahore. A team of doctors, including Dr. Syed Rashid Ali, Dr. Mohsin Abbas, Dr. Maqsood Khan, Dr. Ajmal Maqbool, Dr. Muhammad Ali Maqsood, and Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, provided check-ups and distributed medicines to both police personnel and local residents.

These activities highlighted the Punjab Highway Patrol’s dedication to public health and community engagement while celebrating the spirit of Independence Day.
